The Biomedical Research Center (previously called Gene Research Center) was founded in 2001 in order to support researches and students in Chiba University by offering the Center as a common facility of gene technology including transgenic and gene targeting. In 2004, new facility building was completed in Inohana campus and animal lab, transgenic and gene targeting lab, and molecular biology lab were arranged. In addition, faculty members in the Center conduct their original research projects including developmental biology, cancer biology and immunology.
