Ophthalmology and Visual Science

Overview

Our department is focusing on basic and clinical research, especially in the area of retinal disease and glaucoma. The research includes the analysis of function and morphology in various retinal abnormalities using cutting-edge multimodal imaging such as optical coherence tomography angiography and fundus perimetry. The target of our basic research is to establish the neuroprotection and regenerative treatment for degenerative eye diseases such as retinitis pigmentosa and macular dystrophy. All of us are engaged in groundbreaking discoveries aimed at improving patients' care.
We are also committed to providing comforting and supportive eye care for our patients by well-trained teams. Every experienced surgeon treats a full range of ocular diseases such as glaucoma, cataract, corneal disorders, macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy, and retinal detachment.
