Dr. Shumari Urabe was awarded the Retreat Prize in Legal Medicine for her presentation

At the 103rd Central Congress of the Japanese Society of Legal Medicine in Sendai City, held June 12-14, 2019, Dr. Shumari Urabe, a PhD student at Chiba University Graduate School of Medicine and a medical doctor, was awarded the Retreat Prize in Legal Medicine for her presentation, "Drag analysis of fly larvae collected from forensic autopsies at Chiba University." This was a study of entomotoxicology in forensic entomology, and only a few researchers are engaged in the field in Japan. The Retreat Prize in Legal Medicine is given to young researchers, and this year, three of them won it.
